Not yet finalised. Details marked in square brackets below still need to be filled in, and this document should be reviewed by someone qualified in your jurisdiction before EZPL is offered publicly. Edit src/lib/landing/legal.ts and this notice disappears on its own.
1This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [YOUR LEGAL ENTITY NAME] of [YOUR BUSINESS ADDRESS](“we”, “us”), covering your use of EZPL at ezpl.online and everything on it.
By using EZPL you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it. Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement.
2What EZPL is
EZPL is an online toolkit for working with ZPL (Zebra Programming Language) label code. It can generate ZPL from a description, lay labels out visually, edit and check ZPL, and render a preview of a label in your browser.
It is free to use. There is no paid tier, no trial period and no card required.
3What EZPL is not
- Not affiliated with Zebra Technologies. EZPL is an independent third-party tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially partnered with Zebra Technologies Corporation. “Zebra” and related trademarks belong to their respective owners.
- Not connected to your printer. EZPL produces standard ZPL II. Getting that output onto hardware stays with your own print path a print server, your application, or however you send label data today.
- Not a guarantee of output. The preview is a faithful render, not a promise. Media, print darkness, ribbon, firmware, resolution and calibration all affect what a given printer actually puts on stock.
Always test a label on real media with your own printer before committing a production run to it. This matters most for barcodes and 2D codes, where a symbol that looks right on screen can still scan poorly if the printer is under-calibrated.
4Your account
Accounts are created by signing in with Google. You must be at least 16 years old, and the details reaching us from Google must be accurate and yours.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done with an API key you have issued. Keep your keys to yourself and revoke any you no longer need. If you think someone else has access, sign out everywhere from your settings and tell us.
5Acceptable use
You agree not to use EZPL to:
- Produce labels that misrepresent the origin, contents, weight, safety or handling requirements of goods, or that imitate another party's trade dress or certification marks without the right to do so.
- Break the law, infringe someone else's rights, or help anyone else do either.
- Interfere with the service or with other people's use of it including attempting to circumvent rate limits, probing for vulnerabilities without permission, or placing automated load on it beyond ordinary use.
- Reverse engineer, resell or rebrand the service as your own.
- Upload anything containing malware, or anything you have no right to upload.
If you find a security problem, please report it to info@ezpl.online rather than exploiting it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it.
6Your content
Your labels, your ZPL and your data stay yours. We claim no ownership of them, we do not use them to advertise, and we do not use them to train AI models.
You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, display it back to you, and send the relevant parts to the providers listed in our privacy policy so a feature you asked for can work.
You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you put in including any personal information belonging to your own customers, and any logo or artwork you upload.
7The AI assistant
The assistant generates suggestions. Like any language model it can be confidently wrong: it may produce ZPL that does not do what you asked, uses a command your printer does not support, or is subtly malformed in a way the preview does not reveal.
Treat its output as a draft to review, not an answer to trust. You remain responsible for checking anything it produces before you use it, and we are not liable for what it suggests.
Your request and the ZPL of the label you have open are sent to our AI provider so it can answer. Do not paste anything into it that you would not send to a third-party service.
8Our content
The EZPL name, logo, interface, copy and underlying software are ours or our licensors’. Using the service does not transfer any of it to you. ZPL itself is a language defined by Zebra Technologies; nothing here claims a right in it.
9Availability and changes
EZPL is offered free of charge and without a service level commitment. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and it may be unavailable while we do maintenance or while a provider we depend on is having trouble.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Every label can be exported as ZPL or PDF at any time, and the API will return your stored labels on request.
10Ending this agreement
You may stop using EZPL at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its contents by writing to info@ezpl.online.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. On closure your content is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
11No warranty
EZPL is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that generated ZPL will be correct or suitable for your purpose, or that a preview will match what your printer produces.
12Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost profits, lost data, wasted label stock, missed shipments, or business interruption arising from your use of EZPL even if we were told such loss was possible.
Because the service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us, which is nothing, or the minimum the law of [YOUR COUNTRY OR STATE] requires.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any consumer rights you have that cannot be signed away.
13Indemnity
You agree to cover us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your use of EZPL in breach of these terms, from content you put into it, or from labels you produce with it.
14Third-party services
EZPL depends on services run by others Google for sign-in, our database and AI providers, and our email provider. Their terms apply to their parts, we do not control them, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. They are listed by name in our Privacy Policy.
15General
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [YOUR COUNTRY OR STATE], and disputes go to the courts of [YOUR COUNTRY OR STATE]. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the law where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified before they take effect. Continuing to use EZPL after that means you accept the new terms.
The rest
If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the remainder stands. Not enforcing something straight away does not waive it. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a reorganisation or sale of the business.
